For those planning to live permanently in the UK after marrying their British or settled partner. Allows entry to marry within 6 months, after which you must switch to a Spouse Visa.

Requirements

  • Both parties must be 18 or over and must have met in person
  • Sponsor must earn at least £29,000 per year
  • English language at A1 level
  • Genuine intention to marry within 6 months

Process

  1. Apply online through UKVI portal
  2. Pay visa fee (£1,538)
  3. Attend biometric appointment
  4. Submit relationship and financial evidence
  5. Decision typically within 12 weeks
